Welcome to the mass The Mass is an Anglican Communion service held at the Bridge Chapel in Derby City. It is the result of an on-going experiment to combine experimental theology, eastern traditions, creation spirituality, ritual, dance & meditation with 21st century culture. The Mass was set up and is run by individuals who are trying to create a worship style that allows expression through the culture from which they have come from and exist in. Worship plays a large part in the life of the church, taking many of its resources and influences from club culture, as well as performing and visual arts, eastern meditation practices, liturgy, teaching and ancient theology The desire is to create a 'model' of faith and worship that allows the Church to exist in the 21st century, communicating with a congregation that lives in a hi-tech, visually orientated world. The community that has grown around The Mass meets weekly for social support, discussion, meditation and prayer.
